CAN-SPAM Compliance

Marketers' goals to send spam-free bulk email can be complicated. SafeSenderSM is Silverpop's suite of compliance features designed to ensure that every email you send is 100-percent CAN-SPAM compliant. Unlike unsophisticated bulk email marketing software, SafeSender works beyond the marketing department so that interpersonal emails from call centers, sales, support and all other departments are compliant as well. We are the first vendor in the marketplace to provide a comprehensive set of tools that take human error out of the compliance equation ensuring consistency across the enterprise.

Better Compliance With Less Effort

Suppression Synchronization
Unique to Silverpop, every message you send is matched against an integrated suppression list. Whether an interpersonal or marketing communications message, this automatic feature leaves no room for human error and ensures that individuals who opt-out will not receive future messages. The suppression list also can be easily synchronized with other sources of suppression data, such as call center or sales force automation systems.

Viral Suppression
Not only are interpersonal and marketing communications checked against an integrated suppression list, viral messages are covered as well. Using this feature will prohibit a message from being forwarded to someone who has opted-out from the original sender's list.

CAN-SPAM Component Audit
Organization administrators, who set the parameters for their company's users, have the option of including and requiring a pre-defined CAN-SPAM compliance statement in every message sent.

Opt-Out Audit
Organization administrators also are able to require that every message include an opt-out link. If an opt-out link is missing, the message won't  be sent.

CAN-SPAM Compliance

" ... just one-half of the vendors [evaluated] have a mechanism to automatically audit messages for CAN-SPAM-required components or have a mechanism built into the workflow that makes it impossible to execute noncompliant campaigns. Marketers should be highly critical of vendors that are not providing features to ensure that messages are CAN-SPAM-compliant ... In the last six months the CAN-SPAM regulations have forced many companies to not only enlist some level of services from an ESP but also change request for proposal (RFP) requirements."
