Monitoring Your Message

Once your messages begin arriving at their destinations, a fast-and-furious chain of events follows that you must be prepared to handle: the slower you respond, the greater the chance you will be mistaken for a spammer. Integrated Inbox Monitoring

These probes--state-of-the-art technology provided by our partner, Pivotal Veracity--automatically detect the status of your message at all major ISPs, determining how your messages were delivered and whether they went to the inbox or to the spam or bulk folder. And, unlike other email service providers where inbox monitoring is an add-in piece of software or a separate, stapled-on application, Silverpop’s inbox monitoring is fully integrated with our email campaign software, giving you the “big picture” of your mailing performance.

Deliverability Dashboard
Deliverability data is only valuable if you know about it, which is why Silverpop’s email campaign software constantly monitors a variety of deliverability scenarios. Appearance on key blacklists, bounces and complaints above certain thresholds and no opens or click-throughs on a mailing after a certain time are leading indicators of deliverability problems. If thresholds are exceeded, Silverpop personnel are alerted via a multi-client dashboard. Silverpop personnel act rapidly to understand and correct any aberrations in deliverability, including alerting the client if necessary.

Bounced Email Management
Every email campaign will result in some number of bounces. Inbox providers measure the way your email service provider handles bounced email management, including the speed of bounce processing, the timing of bounce responses and the frequency of bounces per address. The less efficiently your ESP handles bounces, the more you will appear to be a spammer, since spammers are notorious for poor bounced email management. Silverpop has deployed a highly complex engine that rapidly analyzes each bounce against hundreds of rules to classify it and immediately take appropriate action, including whether to opt-out, retry or suspend message delivery. Many of these settings can even be tailored to the unique needs of the customer though administrative settings within Silverpop's email campaign software that you can control.
