ATLANTA, February 8, 2005 - Silverpop, a leading provider of comprehensive permission-based email marketing solutions, announced today the expansion of its European operations with the opening of an office in London. The London office will build upon Silverpop's success with existing clients in the region, which include two of the top five global banks in London, as well as Skype, British Sky Broadcasting and Gizmondo. "We are very pleased with the quality of services that Silverpop has provided to our email program," said Niklas Zennströ¬ Skype CEO and co-founder. Among the company's first initiatives is to release the results of an email market study that will indicate the key differences in email deliverability in the U.S. and U.K. "As companies are realizing the benefits that can be gleaned by using the Internet to acquire and retain customers , online marketing is undergoing explosive growth in the U.K.," said Bill Nussey, CEO of Silverpop.
