Silverpop Releases Latest Whitepaper and Helps Legitimate Marketers Improve DeliverabilityNew whitepaper outlines deliverability challenges and recommendations ATLANTA, October 10, 2003 --Silverpop, a fast-growing provider of comprehensive permission-based e-mail marketing solutions, announced today the upcoming release of its latest whitepaper to address the growing concern of deliverability among legitimate marketers. The paper titled, Throwing Out the Good With the Bad -- Are Your Messages Being Delivered?, will be released during the DMA Annual show next week in Orlando, Fla. Because the increase in spam continues to cause significant changes in the e-mail marketing landscape, marketers must address delivery challenges. A recent study by Return Path notes that 17 percent of legitimate e-mail messages are blocked by the major ISPs. The backlash against spam has been significant and ISPs have resorted to blocking any incoming message that, in their opinion, might possibly be spam. Since the ISPs must protect their business and spam is not going away anytime soon, marketers must find ways to more efficiently work through the challenges of deliverability. The whitepaper examines the impact that deliverablity issues have on e-mail marketing, the different ways that legitimate messages are inadvertently blocked, how marketers can help ensure that messages make it to the inbox and an overview of the industry efforts underway to address the problem.
