SLMABill Nussey, President and Chief Executive Officer

Bill Nussey has 20 years of experience as a chief executive for technology companies. Previously, Nussey was president and CEO of iXL Inc., a publicly traded e-business consulting firm. During his tenure, iXL executed its initial public offering, grew revenues from $10 million to $120 million per quarter and served multiple Fortune 500 customers including General Electric, JP Morgan and Delta.

Prior to iXL, Nussey was an investment professional with Greylock, where he worked on investments including DoubleClick, MediaMetrix and iXL. Before Greylock, Nussey was the co-founder and CEO of Da Vinci Systems. When he sold the company to ON Technologies in 1994, Da Vinci was the third most widely used email product in the world with more than 3 million customers in 45 countries.

Over the years and under Nussey's guidance, Silverpop has been the originator of many industry best practices and innovations. As CEO, he has consulted with numerous marketing executives on the use of email as a strategic communications channel and uncovered solutions to many of the challenges marketers are facing. Nussey shares these insights in his groundbreaking book, "The Quiet Revolution in Email Marketing."

In 2004, Nussey received the Direct Marketing Association's Marketing Technology and Internet Council Annual Award of Excellence, and was named Marketer of the Year by the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association. Nussey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 

Jim McCormick, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jim McCormick brings more than 20 years of financial, accounting, merger, operations and risk management experience to Silverpop. Most recently he was CFO and treasurer at Harbinger Corporation, a publicly traded B2B e-commerce provider. At Harbinger, McCormick supervised the integration of 14 acquisitions, overhauled financial and operating systems and helped drive a tenfold increase in market capitalization leading to the company's sale in mid-2000 for approximately $1.1 billion.

Prior to Harbinger, McCormick was CFO, treasurer and secretary at Knology Inc., a Georgia-based broadband telecommunications company. While at Knology, he executed Knology's public debt offering and raised more than $320 million of combined debt and equity to fund the company's expansion. McCormick has served as consulting manager in Andersen Consulting's Melbourne, Australia office, assisting Global 2000 companies with M&A feasibility, organizational structuring and profit improvement, and as auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Atlanta, Ga.

McCormick is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University.

 

Chris Curtin, Chief Technical Officer

Chris Curtin brings more than 20 years of experience leading the design and development of large-scale, mission-critical, distributed business applications. Previously, he was the director of engineering for Bradley Ward Systems Inc., where he developed and implemented manufacturing applications for the food industry and was lead architect at Manhattan Associates. Curtin graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.

 

Eric Holmen, Senior Vice President of Marketing

A 20-year marketing technology veteran, Eric Holmen brings experience and vision to his role as the leader of Silverpop's marketing and sales efforts. With a unique combination of strategic development and operational planning skills, Holmen is focused on helping Silverpop and its customers achieve "an unfair advantage."

Prior to joining Silverpop, Holmen was the senior vice president of the wireless division of The Marketing Arm, an Omnicom company, and president of mobile marketing technology firm SmartReply. He also served in leadership roles in consumer and credit marketing at Sears and at marketing technology firm Catalina Marketing. In addition, Holmen has co-authored three books focused on mobile marketing.

Holmen earned a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Redlands and a post-grad certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT. He has been awarded four patents for marketing and technology process and ranked four times as a president in Fortune's "Fastest Growing Companies" annual report.


Will Schnabel, Vice President of Business Development

As vice president of business development, Will Schnabel is responsible for growing and driving deeper integration with Silverpop's extensive ecosystem of technology and service partners, helping customers reach even higher levels of value through Silverpop's marketing solutions. Previously, he served as the company's head of international markets, overseeing Silverpop's international operations and expansion strategy across Europe and Asia. 

Schnabel joined Silverpop in 2007 following the company's acquisition of Vtrenz, for which he served as president and CEO. Upon joining Silverpop, he assumed responsibility for overall operations and product direction of Silverpop's Engage B2B solution, an industry-leading demand generation and lead-management technology.

Prior to Vtrenz, Schnabel served in an executive capacity at Accenture, a global management-consulting firm, where he provided strategic guidance to global 500 organizations on the application and implementation of advanced business technologies. Schnabel is a frequent speaker on the topics of digital strategies, marketing automation technologies, and the influence of SaaS-based solutions on optimizing business performance.


Loren McDonald, Vice President of Industry Relations

Loren McDonald's role at Silverpop is to educate clients and prospects on best practices and emerging trends in email marketing and marketing automation. He has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, consulting and strategic planning. McDonald has held executive marketing positions at companies including Lyris Inc., EmailLabs, USWeb/CKS and Arthur Andersen.

He has written more than 400 articles and blogs, is a frequent speaker and presents roughly 20 Webinars each year. He has won several awards, including the eec 2011 Marketer of the Year and the 2005 American Business Award's (The Stevie's) Marketing Executive of the Year.


Desiree Maurice, Vice President of Product Development

Desiree Maurice brings to Silverpop 16 years of experience in software product management, design and development, with a primary emphasis in email marketing. As vice president of product development, she is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of company products, including defining the product road map, product requirements, product specifications, product documentation, product development, QA and more.

Maurice previously served as a business analyst and development lead at Soltech Systems, where she worked closely with customers such as SunTrust Securities and Forrest Investment Associates to define software solutions to enhance their internal business processes. Prior to Soltech, she was the team lead developing one of the first email marketing products--UnityMail. In that role, she was responsible for defining and developing the product, which won several industry awards for ease of use and breadth of features.

Maurice holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
