Silverpop Engage Fundamentals Certification

Show your boss, colleagues, and prospective employers that you know your stuff when it comes to the Engage Fundamentals. You’ll be able to show off your wisdom by displaying an Engage Certified badge on your profile in Silverpop’s Online Customer Community and by joining the Silverpop Engage Certification Group on LinkedIn. You will also be able to print out your certificate so you can proudly display it for everyone to see. Not to mention, once you have completed the Fundamental Certification you will be eligible to enroll in Silverpop’s more advanced certifications.

How do I become Fundamentals certified?
To achieve Engage Fundamentals Certification you must pass the course exam for each of the courses listed in this document. You must score 90% or above on these tests in order to proceed to the next assessment.

The second portion of the certification exam is the Practical Assessment. Once you pass first series of tests, you will be eligible to take the Practical Assessment. This exam assesses your ability to apply the techniques covered in the certification program. You will execute a series of steps inside of Engage, culminating in the creation and sending of an e-mail. For the practical assessment, you must score 90% or higher to pass. You will use your Engage account to perform this assessment. If you don’t already have an Engage account, please contact your Silverpop Relationship Manager. 

Once you have passed both of these tests, you will be able to print out a certificate.

How long will it take me to complete the certification?
We estimate it could take you up to 35 hours to take all of the recommended eLearning Training courses (listed below) and complete both exams. However, if you only take the exams, we estimate it could take as little as 2 - 3 hours.

How many times can I retake the certification test if I do not pass the first time?
There is currently no limit on the number of times you can attempt to complete the certification process.

How much does it cost?
Certification is free of charge to each Engage customers that has purchased a training seat.

How do I get started?
First things first, in order to take the eLearning training courses, you will need a login to the Support Portal. If you do not have an account, please contact your Silverpop Relationship Manager. We strongly recommend you take the following eLearning training courses before attempting the exams.

How to Enroll
Here are the steps to get started:

  • To enroll in the Fundamentals Certification, login to the Support Portal and select the Training tab.
  • Select the Training tab in the Learning Services area.
  • Select the Engage Fundamentals Certification and enroll in that certification.
  • You will see all of the eLearning modules we recommend you take. Each course has an assessment that you must pass in order to proceed to the practical portion of the certification
  • The second portion of the certification is called Engage Fundamentals Certification - Practical Assessment Materials. Here you will download the materials necessary to complete this portion of the certification. (You will utilize your Engage account to perform these tasks.)
  • Once you finish the Practical Assessment, you will need to complete the Engage Submission Confirmation. This will let us know that you are done and we can proceed to grade your exam submission.

What happens after I am certified?
Once you are Engage Fundamentals Certified, we encourage you to join our Silverpop Engage Certification Group on LinkedIn where you can network with fellow Engage users. Additionally, if you are a member of the Silverpop Customer Community, we will add an Engage Certification badge next to your name, so it appears on all of your Community posts.

How do I keep my certification up-to-date?
Our courses and tests for certification are updated with each release to keep our training current. To keep your certification status current with the latest version of Engage, you only need to complete the courses and tests that update with the release. For instance, if the only course that changes is Web Forms, you will only need to complete the new version of that course to update your certification to the latest version. Your certification will expire after 1 year unless renewed with each release.

Does Silverpop offer certification workshops?
Yes, Silverpop offers 3-day certification workshops throughout the year. To learn more about upcoming certification workshops, please email certification@silverpop.com to receive more information.

 

Silverpop Engage Professional Certification

This advanced certification shows that you are fully versed in all of the Engage related products Silverpop offers. It will prove you have mastered the basics of databases and mailings and can leverage tools like Relational Tables, CRMi, Scoring, Transact, and API. You'll be able to show off your wisdom by displaying an Engage Professional Certified badge on your profile in Silverpop's Online Customer Community and by joining the Silverpop Engage Certification Group on LinkedIn. You will also be able to print out your certificate so you can proudly display it for everyone to see.

How do I become Professional certified?
To enroll in the Engage Professional Certification you must have successfully completed the latest version of the Engage Fundamentals Certification. To achieve Engage Professional Certification you must pass the certification exam which is made up of 2 different assessments. The first is a series of multiple choice tests that are administered online. These tests assess your ability to leverage the advanced tools Engage has to offer. You must score 90% or above on these tests.

The second portion of the certification exam is the Practical Assessment. Once you pass the first series of tests, you will be eligible to take the Practical Assessment. The Practical Assessment measures your ability to apply the techniques covered in the certification program. You will be asked to complete several scenarios. Each of these topics will be presented individually. You must score 90% or above in each scenario to pass the assessment as a whole.

Once you have passed all of the multiple choice tests and the practical exam, you will be able to print out your certificate.

How long will it take me to complete the certification?
We estimate it could take you up to 30 hours to take all of the recommended eLearning Training courses (listed below) and complete the exams. However, if you only take the exams, we estimate it could take as little as 4 hours.

  • Select the Training tab in the Learning Services area.
  • Select the Engage Professional Certification and enroll in that certification.
  • You will see all of the eLearning modules we recommend you take. At the bottom are the different Assessments you must pass to become certified.
  • Once you complete those courses, or if you are pretty confident in your Engage skills, you can begin taking the exams.
  • The first assessment you must pass is called Engage Professional Certification – Assessment.
  • The second assessment is called Engage Professional Certification – Practical Assessment. Here you will see a list of topics that you will need to show your mastery in. Each topic contains scenarios with specific activities you will need to perform in a Silverpop account provided by us.
  • To get access to the Silverpop Certification Org for the Practical Assessment, please send us an email to procert@silverpop.com and request a login. 
  • Note: We recommend printing the document Professional Certification Scenarios and Checklist.pdf before you get started.
  • Once you finish the Practical Assessment you will need to complete the Engage Submission Confirmation. In some of the scenarios you will be asked to save specific files and attach them to the confirmation email before submitting. This is essential to the grading process and failing to do so will result in failing the exam. The email will also let us know that you are done and we can proceed to grade your exam submission.

What happens after I am certified?
As a special offer, if you complete and pass Engage Professional certification by the end of the year, starting January 1, 2013 any support case you enter will automatically be routed to a Tier 2 Support contact (as long as you keep your Professional certification current)! Like the Fundamentals Certification, you'll be able to show off your wisdom by displaying an Engage Professional Certified badge on your profile in Silverpop's Online Customer Community and join the Silverpop Engage Certification Group on LinkedIn. You will also be able to print out your certificate so you can proudly display it for everyone to see.
