Pretty much all the marketers I talk to want to increase the size of their company’s database. Yet surprisingly, many businesses overlook the opportunities available in today’s multichannel world to drive email opt-ins.
Consider that there are more than a billion Facebook users and smartphone owners around the world. Are you taking simple steps to encourage these people to register for your email program when the opportunity arises?
In this video, I offer three examples of how you can use “mocial” channels to increase your database: adding an email sign-in on your Facebook page, linking QR codes at trade shows or point of purchase to a mobile-friendly registration form, and creating check-in programs in which participants provide their email address as part of the process.
