I’m still amazed every time I hear that a single spammer is responsible for some huge portion of the spam on the Internet. From this article appearing in The New York Times, was responsible for 20 percent of the world's spam – 50 BILLION messages a day. Russian authorities apparently cracked down on the owner, Igor Gusev. He shuttered operations and  fled the country. Good riddance.
