I just got back from a few days in Anaheim for the annual Shop.org conference. For those of you that are not familiar with Shop.org, it is an elite organization for online retailers. This conference is extremely well attended and my Silverpop colleagues and I seized this great opportunity to meet with and learn from some leading online retailers in the US.
The sessions presented at this conference would be valuable to anyone involved in retail. Speakers at the conference included the CEO of Best Buy who spoke about how bricks and clicks retailers should sell the impact of the Internet to senior management. Also noteworthy was the Strategic Planning Director of Nike who led a panel on the future of online retailing.
This organization holds many conferences and events throughout the year to bring together top-level retailers. If you are involved in online retail and are not a member of Shop.org, I highly recommend you consider joining. Contact Scott Silverman (firstname.lastname@example.org). He's a great guy and is a terrific ambassador of the organization.
