Microsoft Steps up Game in Anti-Spam

In a major step forward in its efforts to thwart spam and reduce false positives, MSN last week announced a suite of new services designed to provide true two-way communication with senders and fellow ISPs.

While many details have yet to be revealed, MSN's approach follows in the footsteps of AOL's anti-spam efforts. Perhaps the most important aspect of its new approach is that it serves as a true feedback loop, allowing legitimate senders to see exactly how MSN is treating their inbound messages. Like AOL's similar service, MSN now gives senders actionable information that helps them improve their email programs and reduce false positives.
