A decade ago, when Norah Jones was winning big at the Grammys®, there was no Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or even MySpace.

My, how things have changed. Today, musical artists are using all these social channels and more, along with email and SMS, to communicate with fans. With such a musically diverse group of Grammy® nominees this year – including The Black Keys, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, Kanye West and fun. – we thought it would be interesting to see how these performers are using these different mediums.

So, a month ago we began following these artists’ Tweets, emails, Facebook posts, YouTube updates and more. Then, we crunched the data to see who was the most active, the most popular and the most outrageous. Take a look:
