The Best Ways to Get More Out of Marketing at Dreamforce

In less than two weeks, thousands of our fellow users will descend upon San Francisco for the company’s annual conference. It can be a little daunting to try to take everything in and arrange your schedule, so I wanted to provide a few tips to help you get more out of Dreamforce – and help you make the most out of your investment.

See products in action. One of the best things about Dreamforce is all of your favorite technology providers are in one place, showing off their latest-and-greatest features and tools. Seeing something in person and having a face-to-face conversation is always a little more meaningful than interacting on a company’s website. You’re able to ask questions that matter to you and your business needs and determine if products are the right fit for you. I really encourage Dreamforce attendees to make a list of “must-see” companies and stop by those booths to view demos, or even just ask a few questions. At Silverpop’s booth (713), we’ll have several demo stations set up – anyone passing by will be able to see how our product can help marketers get more out of the investment. You can also schedule a meeting and get a one-on-one, private demo of the product.

Listen to some really smart speakers. In addition to the keynotes from Marc Benioff, Sir Richard Branson, Gen. Colin Powell – and many other notable names – you want to attend the sessions that are most relevant to you and what you need to enhance your experience. Luckily, Dreamforce has provided session filters on its website so you don’t need to manually flip through pages and pages of a program to decide which sessions to attend. Here, you can filter by role, industry and product to determine exactly which sessions are best for you. In addition to the theater sessions in our booth, Silverpop will be presenting at three sessions:

  • Location, Location, Location:Being Everywhere Your Customers Are, Literally with Loren McDonald and Adam Steinberg.
  • Leverage Buyer Behavior in a Multichannel World with myself and Lori Wizdo, Principal Analyst with Forrester Research.
  • 3 Things to Automate Today! with myself and Beau Beamon, Founder and CEO of Silverpop partner Gravity Point.

Have fun! There are countless fun activities to take part in outside of the show floor. Be sure to join us on Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jillian’s Pocket Park for a meet-and-greet with ping pong and Silverpop prizes! Also, don’t forget that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing on Wednesday, Sept. 19!
