Through industry association memberships and participation, IBM Marketing Cloud is partnering with other leading companies to create best practices in the areas of email, deliverability and security.


Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG)

The Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG) is an industry association focused on eliminating the identity theft and fraud that result from the growing problem of phishing and email spoofing. The organization provides a forum to discuss phishing issues and evaluations of potential technology solutions, and access to a centralized repository of phishing attacks. 



Email Experience Council (eec)

The eec, the email marketing arm of the Direct Marketing Association, is a global professional organization that strives to enhance the image of email marketing and communications, while celebrating and actively advocating its critical importance in business and its ROI value. It is committed to regularly conducting a broad series of email initiatives for a variety of organizations that highlight the positive impact and importance of email as a marketing tool, communications vehicle and branding device.



Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC)

The Email Sender and Provider Coalition is a cooperative group of industry leaders working to create solutions to the continued proliferation of spam and the emerging problem of deliverability. Its membership provides volume mail delivery services to an estimated 250,000 clients-- representing the full breadth of the U.S. marketplace. The ESPC is currently working on solutions to spam and deliverability concerns through a combination of legislative advocacy, technological development, and industry standards.



Online Trust Alliance (OTA)

OTA's mission is to create an online trust community, promoting business practices and technologies to enhance consumer trust and the vitality of interactive marketing, ecommerce, governmental and online financial services. OTA is the only global organization that represents the broad Internet ecosystem supporting user choice and control, protection of critical infrastructure, privacy and data governance, promoting marketing best practices, balanced legislation, benchmark reporting, and self-governance. Through its member companies, governmental organizations and organization affiliates, OTA represents over 1 million businesses and 750 million users worldwide with regional chapters in Asia Pacific, Canada and Europe. OTA is governed by a sectorial Board and Steering Committee and is a member of leading organizations committed to collaboration, law enforcement and data sharing including the Anti-Phishing Working Group, (APWG), Digital PhishNet, InfraGard, and the London Action Plan, (LAP).
