Silverpop Customers Awarded for Innovative Marketing Campaigns at Amplify 2013

Third Annual Pop Star Awards Recognize Customers Using Technology to Drive Superior Results

ATLANTA, May 29, 2013 – SilverpopTM, the only digital marketing technology provider that unifies marketing automation, email, mobile and social, today announces the recipients of its annual North American Pop Star Awards, which recognize clients using Silverpop technology to implement behavior-based marketing campaigns that achieve exceptional results. The award winners were recognized in front of more than 700 Silverpop customers and partners at Amplify, the company’s eleventh annual customer conference in Atlanta.

"Once again, our customers have raised the bar on the power and impact of their marketing programs", said Bill Nussey, CEO of Silverpop. “This year’s Pop Star Award winners fully embraced the importance of behavioral marketing and are delivering best-in-class campaigns and programs that increase loyalty, engagement and revenue. We received more than 100 nominations this year and these customers were the best of the best. We are proud to work with all of them and thrilled to recognize this year's winners.”

Silverpop’s 2013 Pop Star Awards, following a high school superlative theme, recognize the following companies:

Best Dressed: ATP World Tour is recognized for best email creative after working with Silverpop partner Litmus to discover 40 percent of its highest revenue generating subscribers are opening emails on mobile devices and adjusting email templates accordingly. The new email templates employ responsive design, providing the optimal layout for any device. Not only are the templates responsive, but content is as well – displaying certain content for recipients viewing the email on a desktop computer.

Most Likely to Get Engaged: DriverSide’s personalized vehicle service reminders are recognized for best use of automation. Using Silverpop’s Transact solution, Driverside personalizes these reminders with contents in nine different areas to make sure the end consumer is receiving the most relevant information and offers.  The company’s program has been so successful that it can now guarantee its clients five times their ROI.

Most Likely to Skip a Grade: Boat Trader, a division of Dominion Marine Media, is recognized for its most innovative use of Silverpop product features. It sends a six-part series of behavior-based customized emails by using  Silverpop Programs, customized mailing templates, the Silverpop API and a system of rules-based content. The program helped grow the database by 900 percent in just over a month, with up to 1,000 subscribers added daily. Open rates and click-through rates are as high as 65 percent and 36 percent, respectively.

Most Popular: The New Jersey Devils, a CoreMotives customer, is recognized for the best multi-channel campaign. With its Rock 30 campaign, the team uses CoreMotives to target frequent attendees within a particular geographic area for last-minute ticket sales. The Devils also built an iPad interface using CoreMotives that streams data directly into Microsoft Dynamics CRM, increasing the team’s database by 200 to 2,000 names per event.

Teacher’s Pet: CSX Transportation is recognized for its most effective program to support sales. It developed a nurture program with corresponding landing pages and sales cycle-specific content to more easily prioritize leads for its sales team. The nurture program led to a reduction in the length of the sales cycle, with some accounts moving from prospect to acquired in six to 12 weeks as opposed to the industry average of six to 12 months.

Amplify 2013 featured multiple keynotes, including one from Scott Stratten, and 40 educational sessions led by Silverpop executives, product experts and industry analysts. Additionally, attendees enjoyed a networking event at Atlanta’s Fernbank Museum featuring a performance from folk rock band Delta Rae. On June 18, Silverpop will host Amplify EMEA at the British Film Institute in London where EMEA Pop Stars will be announced.
