Silverpop Launches B2B Marketing University

Seminar series to provide B2B marketers with leading insights and proven strategies for building marketing programs that have bottom-line results

Atlanta, August 27, 2009 - Silverpop®, the world's only provider of both email marketing and marketing automation solutions specifically tailored to the unique needs of B2C and B2B marketers, is launching B2B Marketing University ─ a series of half-day educational events designed to help B2B marketers learn about the strategies and systems that will help them excel in engaging and converting B2B buyers in today's challenging business environment. 

The series runs October through December and will include events in Atlanta, Boston, Palo Alto and Seattle.  Course sessions will be taught by leading marketing experts, including principals from firms such as The Annuitas Group, Conselltants, Lead Sloth, The Pedowitz Group and Raab Associates.  Silverpop is underwriting the series, providing attendance free of charge to qualified marketers.

"It's more critical than ever that marketing be able to drive revenue," said Bill Nussey, Silverpop's CEO. "The emergence of so many new marketing techniques, from social marketing to lead nurturing, can be daunting. Our goal with B2B University is to help marketers understand the range of new opportunities and, more importantly, help them understand how to weave them together into world-class revenue generating marketing programs."

The course modules at B2B Marketing University will cover the entire spectrum of issues that B2B marketers face today.  Examples of topics to be covered include:

  • Building multi-channel demand generation programs
  • Developing and leveraging lead scoring models for lead routing and lead nurturing
  • Finding cohesion between inbound/social and outbound/nurturing marketing activities
  • Implementing lead management strategies and systems
  • Improving sales/marketing alignment
  • Managing marketing accountability and measuring marketing ROI
  • Understanding and leveraging 'buyer dialogue' context to improve content and campaigns.

Each half-day conference will kick off with lunch and a "state of the union" talk on B2B marketing, followed by three, one-hour course modules.  A roundtable discussion between experts and attendees will end the day.
