Silverpop Solidifies Position as a Top Email Service Provider

High analyst score and strong financial growth solidifies company’s market-leader position

ATLANTA, November 1, 2006 -- JupiterResearch's "Email Marketing Buyer's Guide, 2006" once again cites Silverpop among the top large enterprise-oriented email service providers (ESPs) offering outstanding business value and market suitability. This is the third year in a row that Silverpop has been given one of the highest scores in its category and the fourth year it has scored in the top five in its category. Silverpop is the only company that has consistently appeared as one of the top five enterprise-oriented ESPs in the Buyer's Guide each of the last four years.
The analyst firm's top ranking is underscored by the privately-held company's impressive financial growth over the last four years. From 2002 through 2005, Silverpop's revenues grew a remarkable 1,650 percent, equating to a 102 percent compound annual growth rate for the period. That level of success makes Silverpop one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S., the equivalent of a number 33 ranking in Inc. magazine's recent 2005 rankings. Strong financials have also led to continuing profitability for the thriving email marketing company.

Nussey said Silverpop's focus on customers is driving extraordinarily strong growth this year as well. The company ended the first half of 2006 with a 75 percent growth in revenue over the same period in 2005, and posted an astonishing 287 percent growth in profits.

Earlier this year, Silverpop had announced partnerships with Coremetrics, Omniture, WebSideStory and WebTrends, becoming the first email service provider to have reached agreements with all four top Web analytics providers. This achievement was recognized in the JupiterResearch report, which noted Silverpop for its focus on infrastructure improvements and for its integration with a variety of Web analytics providers.

JupiterResearch also noted Silverpop's innovative features in giving it a top score. For example, the report made specific reference to one of many new features included in the company's latest release that enables marketers to optimize send times for each recipient, correlating the time a recipient receives an email based on previous subscriber behaviors like opens and clicks. Silverpop also has previously been recognized by JupiterResearch for its excellent provisions for testing dynamic content permutations and for its solid reporting capabilities.
