Silverpop's First Annual Customer Conference a Success

Digital Marketer Conference presented clients with industry insight and trend information from expert sources

ATLANTA, May 6, 2003 -- Silverpop, a fast-growing provider of comprehensive email marketing solutions, announced today the completion of its First Annual Digital Marketer Customer Conference. The conference was an open forum for Silverpop clients to share experiences, learn about the latest trends in email marketing and get inside information about Silverpop's long-term product plans.

Forrester Research's Jim Nail, one of the top analysts on the email marketing industry, presented an overview of the industry and forecasted the promising future that email holds as a marketing tool. Nail also coached attendees on best practices for maximizing the email marketing medium through personalization, list management and integration with other marketing channels.

Also during the conference, Silverpop clients US Airways, The Bombay Company and The Museum of Modern Art took the opportunity to present case studies on successes they have achieved while working with Silverpop. The presentations took attendees through firsthand examples of how these companies effectively implemented email marketing initiatives that delivered high impact and measurable results.

While the focus of the conference was permission-based customer communications, Silverpop also held a panel on the growing impact of spam. Another panel, hosted by Silverpop's CEO Bill Nussey, presented ideas on how legitimate marketers can make smart and responsible choices in all aspects of email marketing including developing internal policies, standards and procedures governing the use of email.

The conference, held in Atlanta, featured presenters from Forrester Research, US Airways, The Bombay Company, The Museum of Modern Art, Definition 6, Response Media and AcquireWeb as part of the nearly 100 clients and partners from across the country.
