| Silverpop Expands Board of Directors Atlanta, (Jan.11, 2006) – Silverpop, a leading provider of email services and solutions, announced the addition of Court Cunningham and W. Thomas Smith, Jr. to its board of directors. Cunningham brings to Silverpop unmatched industry experience from his five years at DoubleClick as senior vice president of marketing automation. While in that role, he acquired two of the leading email marketing firms at the time -- MessageMedia and Flo Networks. He went on to build DoubleClick’s email business into one of the most highly respected and top-ranked competitors in the industry. Cunningham left DoubleClick in 2004 to become the chief operating officer of Community Connect, a developer of online communities targeted to U.S. ethnic audiences. Smith brings to Silverpop a wealth of experience in
sales, marketing and operations from one of the most respected
companies in the world. A 30-year veteran of IBM Corporation, he
served as the vice president, small and medium business for IBM
Americas, managing revenue responsibility of approximately $12
billion. Prior to that, he was IBM’s southern area general manager,
with responsibility for sales, marketing and services business for
thirteen states, generating $7 billion in revenues with 6,000
employees. In 2000, Smith left IBM to become the founder and
managing general partner of Total Technology Ventures, an
investment firm focused on providing capital to early-to-late stage
